Roosval (1917) notes that the font is carved in three pieces and ornamented with acanthus motifs. Noted and illustrated in Hallbäck (1969) as a baptismal font made of soapstone in the early or mid-13th century by Thorkillus; the font is reported in the SHM [cf. infra] and a replica copy was installed for use in the church in 1940. Noted and illustrated in the SHM Medeltidens bildvärld [ref.: 950517F2] as a 'Thorkillusgruppen' baptismal font made of sopastone ca. 1200. On-site notes: short cylindrical basin has sides decorated with a running vine that stems from the mouth of a crowned human head and forms large circles all around; one of the sides of the underbowl appears to have had a large rectangular hole cut into it, and later repaired with plain stone; the underbowl has large leaves arranged as a ribbed pattern; the round pedestal base has a roll moulding at the top, and two bands of acanthus and palmettes (?) separated by a broad flat moulding; the flat moulding has a cross incised into it, but it could be a latter addition; moulded circular base. Purely ornamental work - must be quite late, much smaller than the 12th-century examples.
