Noted in Cornell (1918), Roosval (1918 and 1918) and Svanberg (1980). Noted and illustrated in the SHM Medeltidens bildvärld [ref.: 900923F1] as a composite baptismal font made of sandstone in the last quarter of the 12th century; the surface of the basin is very eroded and some of the scenes are very diffcult to discern; earlier attributions of the basin to master Byzantios master and the base by Sighraf are questionable. On-site notes: the font is in poor condition. Traces of red paint inside the bowl. Four holes in the top part of the rim, now filled with wooden plugs, probably held a lid once. The basin has a number of animal scenes, both hunting and zoomachia, not always clear as to the identity of the animals: a dog and stag (?); a griffin, a lion, Samson and a lion, man and lion, lion and donkey (?) (cf. Svanberg (1918) for some of the identifications). The base -which was probably made by the same workshop or master as the one at Grotlingbo- has a confrontation betwewen a lion and a dragon, St. Michael triumph over the dragon and a haloed dragon which probably represents the lion of Judah and is a symbol of Christ (cf. also Svanberg, op. cit.)
