Noted in Hallbäck (1971). Noted and illustrated in the SHM Medeltidens bildvärld [ref.: 920630F2] as a Skaragruppen baptismal font made of sandstone in the late-12th century; the SHM entry (ibid.) notes seven rectangular panels and identifies scenes: the Fall, a man fighting a dragon, a man holding a cross, and a figure holding scales, probably St Michael weighing the souls. On-site notes: The font is fairly large and unevenly carved; it has a central drainage hole in the upper basin. The font is carved of sandstone, two blocks of stone. The first ring is part of the upper bowl. There are seven partitions on the basin sides, with columns dividing the basin into seven sections that are not even, some larger than others. There is a lot of unevenness about this work. Scenes (L -> R) starting with baptism: 1)Baptism scene: to the left, a figure in profile, holds a book, open, with right hand and the left hand holds the wrist of the person's arm in the water; to the centre and right, three thick wavy lines for water, above it a person, full frontal, up to waist, right arm extended to the figure on the left; the left hand of the person in the water holds a staff to his chest - no cross. 2)Next scene: a person fighting a dragon; the figure to the left, in profile, right arm holds a sword and left arm holds a shield (long pointed shield); to the right a dragon with open jaws, attacks figure; the dragon is winged, two front legs, the tail is wrapped around the column which frames the scene. 3)Next scene: St. Michael and the Scales: the figure, in profile, holds up a scale. 4)Next Scene: separated by column, an acanthus tree. 5)Next scene has two figures, naked and holding something up, probably Adam and Eve after the Fall, covering their genitals. 6)Figure, full frontal, right hand raised, left holds a cross to its side; not haloed. God? 7)Two figures, the figure on the left, in profile, kneeling to God, holds two keys, St. Peter; the figure on the right, enthroned, God, full frontal head turned towards St. Peter - right hand in benediction, left hand holds open book.
