Listed in Sancho Campo (1971). Described in Martín González (1977- ). Described and illustrated in García Guinea (1995) and (1998), and in Bilbao (1996): the font has three basic scenes in the sequence of Baptism of Christ, Serpent and Cross, Christ in Majesty, each scene framed in a thick rim. The baptismal scene has an unusual number of figures present, including John the Baptist holding a water jug, three angels holding pieces of linen, and St. Mary; a large dragon is held down by a cross of irregular length arms. García Guinea (1998) describes the form and iconography as still very Romanesque ["tipo iconográfico y formal muy románico todavía"], but he assigns a Gothic chronology at least to the mid 13th century ["momento ya plenamente gótico (siglo XIII avanzado, al menos)"]. Described and illustrated in Martín Jiménez (2008). On-site notes: this font has three basic scenes on it: 1)Baptism of Christ with [L->R] angel, woman holding vase, John the Baptist, Jesus, figure [male? priest?] holing book, angel with garments]; 2)winged serpent / dragon with cross above it; 3)Pantocrator / Christ in Majesty with the Four Evangelists' symbols; it is a later work; the number of figures in the Baptism scene is rather unusual; centre dain in the basin; no cover present.
