Additional Comments: Note that in the nativity scene Joseph is holding a ring in his hand and above it swings an angel with a censor. It is in good condition. Note also that the figures on the base, the clerics, have tonsured heads. The king and the bishop do not.Strombom, p.82 There is under the scene of the harrowing of hell, the figure of a cleric, hands raised in adoration - has tonsured head. To the left of him is a king with a crown, to the left of the king is a bishop with book, and then another cleric, hands raised with tonsured head. Between the figures are two motifs, repeated, a swan and an acanthus tree.

Noted in Kürstein (1971). Listed in Drake (2002: 183) as a baptismal font of the Calcarius workshop, on Gotland, ornamented with figures. On-site notes: this is the font mentioned by Roosval and Strombom, the work of the Calcarius workshop. Metal baptismal dish donated by Margaretha von Leuenburg, 1720 [cf. Images area and Iconographical Data for full details] - [NB: not to be mistaken with "Borrby", in Skane, which has a font also by Calcarius].
