Noted in Hallbäck (1966). In Nordström (1984). Noted and illustrated in the SHM Medeltidens bildvärld [ref.: 920606F5] as an Andreasgruppen baptismal font made of sandstone ca. 1200, the basin decorated with an Agnus Dei, the fight between St Michael and the dragon, a child in a baptismal font?, a plant, a bird abd twwo priests, all of them in an arcade of round arches. Cylindrical mounted baptismal font of the Romanesque period; the vertical sides of the basin are ornamented with an arcade of round arches containing figures and scenes [cf. Iconographic area below for details of the program]; two scenes are identified: the Baptism of Christ(?) in a font and the fight between St. Michael and the dragon. The underbowl appears almost plain [unlike the one at Hillared, for instance]. The base is conical with vertical lower sides and it has incised concentric circles that go all around the base. Like the font at Hillared it is a rather crude work, both in the design and execution. [NB: the font was moved from the ruins of the demolished old church to the newly-built church of Fänneslunda-Grovare; the medieval church of Fänneslunda is also in ruins].
