Noted and illustrated in Roosval (1918 and 1918), and in Nordström (1967 and 1984). Noted and illustrated in the SHM’s database Medeltidens bildvärld [ref.: 940706F1] as a 12th-century baptismal font made of sandstone by Sigraf, decorated with scenes from the life of Christ on the basin, while the base has a Madonna and Child, an Agnus Dei, a bishp, Abraham and his souls, a building and a stag. On-site notes: the font is in good condition; the base is very similar to that of the font which stands in the Halsingland Museum. It is fitted with a modern plinth. Base program [L -> R]: Madonna and Child (under Last Supper), St. Peter (under Flagellation scene) and Father Abraham and a Bishop (under Adoration of Magi); the underbowl is decorated with a scalloped pattern; the motifs on the sides of the base are: between Bishop and Madonna and Child, is a lion; between M/C and St.Peter, is a Lamb of God; between St.Peter and Abraham, Holy Building; between Abraham and bishop, a stag. [cf. Image section for full iconographic program on the basin]. The font is said to have been disused and left out in the churchyard for decades; eventually returned to its original function inside the church.
