Noted and illustrated in Roosval (1918), Fåhraeus (1974) and Stenström (1975). Noted and illustrated in the SHM Medeltidens bildvärld [ref.: 910817F1] as a baptismal font made of sandstone in the second half of the 12th century by Semi-Byzantios, the present paint not original. On-site notes: the plinth, a round cut stone,is a later addition. A circular floral motif ornaments or encircles the base and has a small round basin cut into the one side which permits the draining water to spill outward. One of the scenes on the basin appears to be that of St. Michael fighting the dragon [cf. Image section for full iconographic program]. [Hamra site re-visited 28 May 2018]. No cover present.
