Noted and illustrated in in Roosval (1918). Described and illustrated in Sveriges kyrkor: Gotland (Bd. II: 220 and pl. 307 a-b on p. 219) as a 12th-century sandstone baptismal font from the anonymous Byzantios workshop. The octagonal basin is mounted on a round pedestal base with heads, the whole raised on a square plinth. Also described and illustrated in Fåhraeus (1974: 35 et al.), in which the font appears located near the northwest corner, at the foot of one of the columns. Noted in Stenström (1975) and in Svanberg (1995). Noted and illustrated in the SHM Medeltidens bildvärld [ref.: 910507F1] as a baptismal font made of sandstone by Byzantios in the second half of the 12th century. On-site notes: the font is badly worn and has the outlines of the motifs used by Byzantios, none of which appear to have been scenes. A more complete identification of the motifs and symbols should be done by careful comparison with other Byzantios fonts on the island. [NB: site revisited 22 May 2018]. No cover present.
